Edenville is inspired by Derek Jarman’s movie Blue.
Blue‘s subject is AIDS. Jarman takes a subjective approach: At the center is the powerlessness of the human being who sees his body invaded by the virus, that changes his body step by step. The infected person experiences the contradiction between his individuality and the powerful virus that destroys him slowly without paying attention nor interest to his person.
The production is a duet and addresses AIDS as a problem between human beings. The focus is on the problems that people face after an infection.
